Philip is a medium-sized, tan crossbreed. He was rescued as a puppy and homed, but returned once the novelty wore off. Philip did not cope well in the kennels, so was made one of our housedogs and given ‘free reign’. He is an affectionate, obedient, adventurous and active, yet independent dog, who would love a family to call his own!

Bentley male; DOB: ± 2003.

Bentley is a medium-sized, golden tan Corgi, Collie crossbreed. He was originally rescued from Fisantekraal Informal Settlement and homed, but sadly returned when his owner could no longer keep him. Bentley is an affectionate, friendly, easy-going and gentle-natured boy, with a warm disposition. He loves being cuddled and gets along well with kids and other dogs. Bentley would be a super companion and delightful friend.

Kova male; DOB: ± 2000.

Kova is a large, tan and black German Shepherd. He was originally rescued in 2004 and homed, but sadly returned when his owner could no longer keep him. Kova is an intelligent, sensitive, gentle-natured and biddable dog, who is keen to please and enjoys going for walks. He is housetrained and would be a devoted buddy and watchful guardian. Kova and Kushka are an inseparable pair and long to be adopted together.

Lisa female; DOB: ± 1999.

Lisa is a medium-sized, black and tan crossbreed. She was originally rescued as a puppy and homed in 2003, but sadly returned when her owners had to relocate and could no longer keep her. Lisa is a friendly, affectionate, responsive, placid and docile lady, who sorely misses being part of a family and does not understand why she no longer has a home. She has a beautiful nature, gets on well with other dogs and would be a devoted companion and loyal friend.

Tiffany female; DOB: ± 2003.

Tiffany is a small, cream Pom, Terrier cross. She was pregnant stray rescued in Zeekoeivlei. Tiffany is a friendly, alert, affectionate, attentive, gentle-natured and endearing girl, who loves being cuddled and fussed over. She is inquisitive and forever poking her nose into every nook and cranny and is always on the lookout for adventure! Tiffany enjoys the companionship of other dogs and responsible children, and would be a delightful friend and entertaining buddy.

Izzie female; DOB: ± Nov, 2007.

Izzie is a small, black with white crossbreed. She was rescued after being found abandoned on the side of a road in Bloekombos as a young puppy. Izzie is an affectionate, friendly, lovable, athletic and sweet-tempered little lass. She is a comical and cheerful soul with a warm disposition. Izzie enjoys the company of other canines and loves attention and TLC. She would be an amiable pet and doting family companion.

Jonty male; DOB: ± Oct, 2006.

Jonty is a medium-sized, black and tan Dachshund, Basset crossbreed. He was rescued after being found abandoned on the Vasco Boulevard. Jonty is a lively, friendly, spunky, playful and fun-loving dog, who is filled with character and has a bubbly, infectious personality. He thoroughly enjoys the company of people, gets on well with older kids he could play with, is housetrained and would be an entertaining pet to a family with a larger dog to keep him occupied.

Phoenix male; DOB: ± 2005.

Phoenix is a medium-sized, black crossbreed. He was uplifted from Ocean View after his owner purposely threw boiling water over him. Phoenix sustained severe burns across his body! He has since fully recovered, and is a confident, courageous, athletic, alert and talkative dog. He is undemanding and fairly independent, yet bonds closely and is always ready for adventure. Sadly, Phoenix is often overlooked but would be a protective friend and devoted companion; if only given the chance.

Skyla female; DOB: ± Jan, 2005.

Skyla is a medium-sized, white with black crossbreed, who was uplifted from Ocean View Township after being tied up by her owner with nylon string, which became embedded in her flesh, causing a severe granulated laceration around her neck. Skyla is an independent, but affectionate, attentive and confident lady, who is not used to TLC and has had a life of hardship. Skyla enjoys being the centre of attention and would be a loyal companion and protective friend.

Suzie female; DOB: ± Aug, 2003.

Suzie is a medium-sized, black and tan Collie, Shepherd crossbreed. She was rescued in 2005 and homed, but sadly returned. Suzie is an adoring and responsive lady, who does not understand why she is no longer part of a family. She bonds closely, is eager to please, enjoys going for walks and can hold her own in conversation! Suzie prefers being the centre of attention and wouldn’t mind being an only dog, but would easily settle for a home with a confident male dog to interact with. She is housetrained and would be a faithful friend and loyal companion.

Howie male; DOB: ± April, 2007.

Howie is a medium-sized, black, brindle and white Staffie crossbreed. He was rescued after being found abandoned in Simonstown. Howie is a comical, confident, playful, active, alert and spirited canine, who has an upbeat attitude. He would be an amusing friend and spunky companion to a home with another dog to “rough house”, play and keep him occupied.

Kaydee male; DOB: ± 2002.

Kaydee is a medium-sized, black and tan/white crossbreed. He was originally rescued from Redhill and homed, but sadly returned when his owners moved into a retirement home. Kaydee is a gentle-natured, laid-back, fairly independent, sensitive and attentive chap, an introvert at heart! This family-orientated canine sorely misses the comforts of a home and does not understand why he no longer has a family. He enjoys gentle strolls in the park and lazy afternoons, and would be a devoted companion and ideal member of a mature family.

Pinto male; DOB: ± May, 2006.

Pinto is a large, tan sable Shepherd, Boerboel crossbreed. He was originally rescued as a puppy from Ocean View Township and homed, but returned. Pinto is a responsive, confident, playful, courageous and alert boy, who enjoys going for walks and is always up for adventure. He is housetrained and needs a home with another large dog he could “rough house” with. Pinto requires an experienced owner, and would be a protective guardian and loyal companion to a family without young children.

Storm male; DOB: ± 2003.

Storm is a medium-sized, Spaniel, Shepherd crossbreed. He was originally rescued as a puppy and homed, but returned as his owners could no longer keep him. Storm does not understand why he no longer has a family. He is a responsive, sweet-tempered, easy-going, gentle-natured and fairly independent dog, who would be an amiable companion and enjoyable buddy.

Lara female; DOB: ± Oct, 2006.

Lara is a medium-sized, golden cream crossbreed. She was a stray found abandoned in Plattekloof. Lara is an endearing, sensitive, gentle-natured, playful, friendly and alert girl, who has a sunny disposition. She is an enjoyable soul mate, biddable, keen to please and longs for TLC. Lara gets on well with other dogs and would be a delightful companion to a quieter, loving family.

Kushka female; DOB: ± 2002.

Kushka is a large, black and tan Shepherd crossbreed. She was originally rescued in 2004 and homed, but sadly returned when her owner could no longer keep her. Kushka is a confident, demonstrative, playful and active dog, who is eager to please and loves outings to the beach. She is housetrained and would be a protective guardian and loyal companion. Unfortunately, she suffers from arthritis, but is on medication and doing well. Kova and Kushka are a devoted pair and long to be adopted together.

Riley male; DOB: ± Aug, 2005.

Riley is a medium-sized, white with cream Terrier, Staffie crossbreed. He was originally rescued as a puppy and homed, but sadly returned when his owners had to relocate. Riley is a friendly, playful, fun-loving, cheerful and carefree boy, who is confident, outgoing and athletic. This charming chap needs another dog to play and interact with to avoid being “creative”. Riley is always up for adventure, and would be an entertaining family pet and loyal buddy.

Eden male; DOB: ± Feb, 2005.

Eden is a medium-sized, rich tan Staffie cross. He was originally uplifted from Hanover Park and homed, but sadly returned. Eden is confident, alert, courageous, athletic, biddable and keen to please. He does not understand why he no longer has a home. Eden is housetrained and needs to be adopted by an experienced dog owner, preferably with a female dog he could “rough house” with. He would do better in a home without young children and would be a protective guardian and watchful companion.

Babe female; DOB: ± Sept, 2007.

Babe is a medium-sized, black crossbreed. She was brought to TEARS as her previous owner could no longer keep her. Babe is an attentive, gentle-natured, playful, sensitive and endearing young lady, who has a warm disposition. She is housetrained, great with responsible children and dog-friendly cats; enjoys the company of other canines and adores attention and TLC. Babe would be a marvellous pet and loyal family member for a caring, loving household.

Tina female; DOB: ± 2000.

Tina is a small, tan Terrier crossbreed. She was rescued after being found abandoned in Sun Valley. Tina is an affectionate, sweet-tempered, endearing, friendly, responsive and attentive little lady, who is as eager to cuddle as she enjoys going for walks. This lovable lass is gentle-natured at heart and longs to be “man’s best friend”. If given the chance, Tina would be an enjoyable friend, delightful soul mate and perfect companion for a mature couple.

Ziggy male; DOB: ± 2001.

Ziggy is a medium-sized, black and white Collie cross. He was uplifted from Ocean View Township after sustaining a serious injury from being knocked over, and his foreleg had to be amputated. Ziggy has adapted well to life on three legs! He is an attentive, loving, responsive and alert dog, who is undemanding and fairly independent. Ziggy has had a life of hardship and loves all the attention and TLC he receives at TEARS. He is often overlooked, but would be a protective companion and devoted buddy, if only someone would give him a chance!

Chet male; DOB: ± Nov, 2005.

Chet is a large, tan Shepherd cross. He was originally rescued as a puppy and homed, but sadly returned as his owner could no longer keep him. Chet is an athletic, courageous, intelligent, confident, responsive and adventurous dog, who does not understand why he no longer has a family. He needs regular exercise and would love to be adopted by a family with another large dog he could interact with. Chet needs a firm, but loving owner, and would be a spirited friend and diligent guardian.

Mischa female; DOB: ± Nov, 2005.

Mischa is a small, white with black/fawn Jack Russell, Fox Terrier cross. She was an abused dog found abandoned on Black Hill, Sun Valley. Mischa is an affectionate, alert, sensitive and bashful girl, who longs for attention and TLC, not having much of it in her life. She has responded well and has come out of her shell since being at TEARS. Mischa bonds closely, needs TLC and understanding in a quieter, loving home and would flourish into a devoted friend and unconditionally loyal soul mate.

Shyler is a medium-sized, brown sable with tan crossbreed. She was a stray rescued from Steenberg. Shyler is a friendly, responsive, gentle-natured, affectionate and ingenious girl, who has a sunny disposition. This fun-loving lady is forever poking her nose into every nook and cranny and ever on the lookout for adventure! Shyler enjoys the companionship of other canines, loves going for walks and would be a cheerful friend and loyal buddy.

Dylan male; DOB: ± Nov, 2007.

Dylan is a medium-sized, tan crossbreed. He was a stray rescued after being abandoned in Milnerton. Dylan is a friendly, playful, lovable, gregarious and active boy. He is such a charming character and is always up for adventure or a game of “rough-and-tumble”! Dylan would be a wonderful family pet and delightful best friend, if only given the chance.

Trixie female; DOB: ± Nov, 2007.

Trixie is a medium-sized, black and tan crossbreed. She was uplifted from a neglectful home in Ocean View Township. Trixie is a playful, fun-loving, athletic, animated and comical girl, who is keen to please, full of enthusiasm and energy and is always up for adventure! She enjoys the company of older kids and adores to “rough and tumble” with other canines. Trixie needs another dog to play with and keep her occupied. She would be an ideal pet for an active family with a sense of humour, who wants a lot of entertainment (and jovial mischief) in one dog!

Calvin male; DOB: ± April, 2006 .

Calvin is a med/large dappled tan and white crossbreed. H e was uplifted with the rest of his “canine-family” from a life of neglect. Calvin is a cheerful, playful, active, alert and outgoing boy, who is always up for adventure or a game of “rough-and-tumble”! He can hold his own in conversation and his comical, happy-go-lucky nature endears him to all he meets. Calvin would be a protective companion and loyal friend.

Pippa female; DOB: ± March, 07 .

Pippa is a medium-sized, black and tan crossbreed. She was rescued as a young puppy from a farm in Porterville; the owner was going to kill her and her littermates. Pippa is a shy, yet endearing, responsive, alert, friendly and fun-loving girl, who gets on well with other canines. She would be a delightful companion and enjoyable pet; if only someone would give her a chance!

Mooshu male; DOB: ± Jan, 2007.

Mooshu is a medium-sized, tan sable crossbreed. He was found abandoned in Kommetjie. Mooshu is a friendly, jovial, playful and adventurous dog, who is full of enthusiasm and energy. He longs to be “man’s best friend”, is full of character, has an upbeat attitude and can hold his own in conversation! Mooshu is athletic and always on the lookout for excitement, despite his disability (previous foreleg injury). He longs to be adopted, but is often overlooked. Mooshu would be a spunky soul mate and comical companion if only given the chance!

Chinook female; DOB: ± 2004.

Chinook is a medium-sized, black Chow, Shepherd cross-breed. She was rescued after being found abandoned in Muizenberg. Chinook is a friendly, docile, easy-going, biddable, endearing and affectionate lady, who has a warm disposition and delightful nature. She longs for TLC and enjoys going for walks; yet unfortunately will tree the family cat! Chinook would be a devoted family pet and unconditionally loyal buddy.

Jasmine female; DOB: ± Nov, 2003 .

Jasmine is a medium-sized, black Labrador, Collie crossbreed. She was originally rescued from Ocean View Township and homed, but sadly returned. Jasmine is an affectionate, friendly, attentive and charming girl, who has a sunny disposition, loves TLC and enjoys being the centre of attention. Her adoring nature and delightful personality makes her a devoted companion and super family pet to a home with older kids she could play with.

Pedro is a small/med-sized, black crossbreed. He was rescued after being found wandering on the side of Klipfontein Road, near Gugulethu. Pedro is a friendly, cheerful, docile, gentle-natured, playful and fun-loving little chap, who has a sunny disposition and bubbly personality. He is sweet-tempered and gets on well with other canines and children. Pedro would be an enjoyable family pet and delightful best friend!

Cinnamon male; DOB: ± Sept , 2007 .

Cinnamon is a medium-sized, rich tan crossbreed. He was rescued after being abandoned near Witsand Beach . Cinnamon is a friendly, athletic, playful, responsive, outgoing and confident boy, who has a cheerful personality and comical disposition. He is full of character, enthusiasm and energy, and enjoys “rough-housing” with other dogs. Cinnamon would be an ideal companion to an active family, wanting a lot of entertainment (and mischief) in one dog!

Jackie female; DOB: ± Dec, 2003.

Jackie is a medium-sized, tan crossbreed. She was uplifted from a life of neglect in Ocean View Township; she had horrific injuries which her owner left untreated for weeks, causing her to loose an eye. Jackie is a responsive, alert, obedient, cheerful, friendly, outgoing and active lass, who has a sunny disposition and is full of character. She enjoys going for walks, adores the companionship of people and gets on well with other canines. Jackie would be an amiable pet and unconditionally loyal companion to a loving home.

Boo male; DOB: ± Dec, 2006 .

Boo is a large, white with tan Pointer, Labrador crossbreed. He was originally adopted from TEARS in 2007, but returned once the novelty wore off. Ethan is a medium-sized, golden Chow, Retriever crossbreed. He was rescued after being abandoned by his previous “owners”. Ethan is a courageous, confident, sportive, fun-loving and active dog, who combines playful exuberance with a zest for life’s adventures. He’s amiable personality, independence and penchant for showing off makes him an entertaining companion and enjoyable friend.

Shenzi female; DOB: ± 2003 .

Shenzi is a large, golden cream Shepherd, Collie cross. She was rescued after being found abandoned in Southfield. Shenzi is a biddable, intelligent, responsive, athletic, affectionate and obedient lady, who is happiest when she is the centre of attention and longs to be “man’s best friend”. She is a delightful blend of independent spirit and adoring soul mate, and would be a family-orientated companion and protective guardian.

Cola female; DOB: ± 2002.

Cola is a small, white and brown Terrier cross. She was brought to TEARS when her elderly owner passed away. Cola is an affectionate, lovable, alert, responsive and intelligent little lass, who sorely misses being part of a family. She is housetrained and good with kids and cats. This dainty damsel would be a perfect companion for a mature couple, and a doting pet and loyal soul mate.

Tazz male; DOB: ± 1999.

Tazz is a large, brown sable and tan Shepherd, Labrador crossbreed. He was a stray rescued from a township in Milnerton. Tazz is an alert, affectionate, endearing, confident, playful and loyal old gentleman, who longs to be “man’s best friend”. He is biddable and keen to please, optimistic and intelligent. Tazz longs for a home, and would be a loving companion and faithful guardian; if only someone would give him a chance!

Percy male; DOB: ± 2001.

Percy is a medium-sized, black crossbreed. He was rescued after being found abandoned in Fish Hoek by his previous “owners”. Percy is an alert, canine-confident, affectionate, undemanding and fairly independent chap, who enjoys being the centre of attention. He enjoys the companionship of female dogs, but would easily settle in a “single”-dog household, and would be a loyal companion and protective friend.

Cody male; DOB: ± March, 2006.

Cody is a black and tan crossbreed. He was rescued after being found abandoned by his previous “owners” in Bergvliet. Cody is a playful, courageous, comical and inquisitive boy, who is sharp with strangers. He would be a perfect companion for an active family with another dog to play with, and would be a vigilant guardian and family-orientated pet.

Abel male; DOB: ± June, 2003.

Abel is a medium-sized, black and tan crossbreed. He was originally rescued as a puppy and homed, but uplifted as his owner was no longer capable of caring for him. Abel is an obedient and alert boy, who is wary of strangers, but is an affectionate and endearing dog once he gets to know you. He enjoys going for walks and is housetrained. Abel gets on well with other dogs and would be a loyal and watchful companion to a family without cats.

Sheba female; DOB: ± Feb, 200 5 .

Sheba is a large, black and tan Rottweiler. She was originally rescued and homed, but returned when her adopted family had to relocate and could no longer keep her. Sheba is an intelligent, attentive, friendly, obedient, active and well-mannered girl, who possesses an amiable blend of cool confidence and independent spirit. This lovable lass sorely misses the comforts of home and longs to be adopted by a caring, loving family. She is housetrained and would be an unconditionally loyal and protective guardian to a home without young kids.

Marcus is a medium-sized, tan and cream crossbreed. He was found abandoned in Glencairn by his previous “owners”. Marcus is an alert, talkative, playful, gregarious, responsive and confident boy, who is cheerful at heart and has a happy-go-lucky nature. He is always up for adventure and enjoys going for walks. Marcus longs to be “man’s best friend” and deserves a loving home. He would be a comical companion and protective guardian.

Jesse is a small, white Maltese, Terrier cross, with a grey patch over his eye. He was brought to TEARS as his owner could no longer keep him. Jesse is a docile, sweet-tempered, affectionate and soft-natured boy, who has an adoring nature and amiable disposition. He is a bit bashful, yet very loving and longs for attention and TLC. Jesse is housetrained, good with cats and other dogs, is well-mannered and never on the lookout for trouble. He does not understand why he no longer has a family and would be an enjoyable companion and unconditionally loyal friend; if only given a second chance!

Joshua male; DOB: ± Oct, 2007.

Eve female; DOB: ± 2005 .

Eve is a medium-sized, black crossbreed. She was uplifted from vagrants in Steenberg with her two young puppies. Eve is a playful, affectionate, gentle-natured, friendly, alert and sensitive girl, who is eager to please and longs to be adopted by her special someone! She enjoys going for walks, gets on well with other dogs and would be an amiable family playmate and devoted companion.

Toby male; DOB: ± 2000.

Rufina female; DOB: ± 2004.

Rufina is a med-sized, golden cream crossbreed. She was rescued after being found abandoned in Epping Industria in a horrendous condition; she had severe mange, hardly any fur and was petrified of human contact. With much understanding and TLC, Rufina has flourished into a responsive, affectionate, friendly and alert lady. Having had a life of hardship before being rescued, she is still a bit bashful around strangers, but is inquisitive and longs for TLC – it is amazing how forgiving animals are! Rufina would be a devoted friend and loyal companion to a caring, understanding home.

Lolita female; DOB: ± 2006.

Purdy female; DOB: ± June, 2007.

Purdy is a medium-sized, tan with black crossbreed. She was originally rescued as a puppy and homed, but returned when she was no longer wanted. Purdy is a fun-loving, playful, cheerful, affectionate and gregarious girl, who has a sunny disposition. This sociable lass needs another dog to play with and keep her occupied to avoid her becoming “creative”. She is housetrained, great with older children and would be a comical companion and amiable family pet!

Angel female; DOB: ± May, 2007 ;

Angel is a medium-sized, grey sable and cream crossbreed. She was rescued after being found abandoned in Milnerton. Angel is an endearing, gentle-natured, easy going, playful and soft-spoken girl, who is keen to please and has a doting personality. She gets on well with other dogs as well as responsible children she could interact and play with. Angel longs for TLC and would adore to be adopted by a loving family. She would be a pleasant companion and loyal buddy.

Bali male; DOB: ± April, 2007 ;

Bali is a medium-sized, black crossbreed. He was rescued from a township as a puppy. Bali is a gregarious, athletic, playful, high-spirited and sociable boy, who needs canine companion-ship and stimulation to avoid being “creative”! With his childlike exuberance, he especially enjoys the company of older kids. Bali would be a spunky playmate and comical companion to an active family with a good sense of humour, who wants a lot of entertainment (and mischief) in one dog!

Hamish male; DOB: ± Sept, 2006 ;

Hamish is a black with tan crossbreed. He was originally rescued as a puppy and homed, but returned as he was no longer wanted. Hamish is an affectionate, responsive, alert and sensitive dog, who can be a bit shy at first. This attentive boy longs for TLC and would flourish in an understanding household. Hamish enjoys the company of other dogs, and would be a doting pet and loyal companion.

Nikita female; DOB: ± 2005 ;

Nikita is a large, black and tan German Shepherd. She was uplifted from a life of neglect. Nikita has unfortunately been abused, so is naturally suspicious of strangers. Once she gets to know you, she is a responsive, affectionate, active, sensitive and biddable girl. Nikita needs TLC, understanding and reassurance in a loving, caring home. She gets on well with other large dogs and would be a protective companion and watchful companion to her special someone.

Topaz female; DOB: ± June, 2007 ;

Topaz is a medium-sized, tan sable crossbreed. She was rescued after being found abandoned in Noordhoek. Topaz is a friendly, lovable, outgoing, playful, high-spirited and cheerful girl, who longs for human interaction and is keen to please. She enjoys playing with older children and would be a doting friend and loyal buddy.

Marlin male; DOB: ± March, 2006

Marlin is a medium-sized, white with tan crossbreed. He was rescued after being abandoned in Parow. Marlin was terribly nervous, but with much TLC he has learned to trust once again and has flourished into a friendly, endearing, playful and dignified boy, who is still a bit bashful and shy around strangers. He deserves a loving home, and would be a super companion to that special someone.

Skippy is a medium-sized, black and tan crossbreed. She was rescued in 2001 and is one of our ‘special-needs’ dogs. She had distemper as a puppy, so she has a slight mental, sight and co-ordination problem. Skippy is an affectionate, happy, entertaining and spontaneous girl, who longs to experience a loving home. She is one of our housedogs, so is housetrained and used to people. Please spare a thought for this special girl.

Annie female; DOB: ± April, 2005.

Annie is a small, black and white Jack Russell, Fox Terrier cross. She was rescued after being found abandoned and knocked over on Kommetjie Road. Annie is a friendly, playful, easy-going, cheerful, gentle-natured and docile girl, who has a sunny disposition and wonderful personality. Sixpence is a medium-sized, white with tan/black crossbreed. He was rescued from Fisantekraal Informal Settlement as a puppy. Sixpence is a loving, playful, sweet-natured dog, who gets on well with other dogs and older children. He would love to be adopted by a caring family, and would be a wonderful family pet.

Anna is a medium-sized, black and cream crossbreed. She was rescued as a puppy, wandering along the N7 near Malmesbury. Anna is a sensitive and shy, but playful and alert dog, who gets on well with other dogs. She has never been in a home before, and deserves a loving, caring family. Anna needs a home with another dog to interact with.

Angel is a medium-sized, golden tan crossbreed. He was rescued after being abandoned in Wynberg by his previous “owners”. Angel is a happy, friendly, loving and athletic dog, who enjoys the companionship of people. He would like to be an only dog, but would be fine with a female dog who could stand her ground.

Kate is a medium-sized, brindle with white Bull Terrier, Collie cross. She was rescued after being abandoned in Zeekoeivlei; we presume she has been burnt as she has permanent scars along her back. Kate is an active, alert, affectionate and courageous girl, who possesses plenty of self-confidence! She is always on the lookout for excitement and would be an ideal friend for a person wanting a partner in adventure.

Cassie female; DOB: ± June, 2005;

Cassie is a medium-sized, cream and beige Corgi crossbreed. She was an unwanted and abused dog uplifted from Kuilsrivier. She is an affectionate, endearing, attentive and lovable girl, with beautiful, liquid eyes. She is canine-confident and is happiest when she is the centre of attention, so would do best in a smaller, single-dog household. Cassie has a few “hang-ups” which have been dealt with, and is now ready for her chance in a new, loving home! She has a doting personality and would be a devoted companion and gorgeous pet; if only someone would give her a chance!

Eddie male; DOB: ± Oct, 2004;

Eddie is a medium-sized, cream crossbreed. He was rescued as a puppy from being drowned in a river, and homed but returned. Eddie is an affectionate, athletic, playful, alert, doting and intelligent boy, who loves going for walks and bonds closely. With his childlike exuberance, Eddie especially enjoys the companionship of children and other dogs. He is as eager to cuddle as he is ready for life’s adventures, and would be an enjoyable playmate, protective guardian and unconditionally loyal companion. Eddie needs a loving home with another dog to play with, preferably someone home during the day and high walls (as he is a bit of an escape artist!).

Yuri male; DOB: ± Nov, 2005

Yuri is a medium-sized, brindle crossbreed. He was rescued after being found abandoned in Fish Hoek by his previous “owners”. Yuri is a confident, affectionate, playful and alert boy , who possess plenty of self-confidence . He would like a home with a female dog to interact and play with. Yuri get s along well with older , responsible children and would be an amiable buddy .

Dapple female; DOB: ± 2000;

Dapple is a medium-sized, silver/black dapple and tan crossbreed. She was originally rescued as a puppy and homed, but returned as her owners could no longer keep her. Dapple is a confident, outgoing, alert, inquisitive and adventurous lady, who loves going for walks. She is housetrained, used to cats and other dogs. Dapple would be a cheerful companion and loyal friend.

Bullet male; DOB: ± 1997;

Bullet is a medium-sized, black Staffie, Beagle crossbreed. He was originally rescued from an Informal Settlement and homed, but returned as he became “too possessive”. Bullet is a loving, responsive, affectionate, happy and fun-loving old chap, who has a sunny disposition and is playful and young at heart, despite his age. He is always overlooked and has been with us for far too long! Bullet longs for a home in which to retire, and would be a protective companion and faithful friend.

Donny male; DOB: ± 2004;

Donny is a small, tan with white wire-haired Jack Russell cross. He was rescued after being found abandoned in Noordhoek. Donny is an adventurous, affectionate, comical, alert and brave boy, who is sharp with strangers. He bonds closely, gets on well with other canines and is housetrained. True to his Terrier heritage, Donny has a mind of his own and would be a spunky companion and protective friend!

Santini male; DOB: ± 2002;

Santini is a medium-sized, tan crossbreed. He was rescued from Da Gama Park in a terrible condition; he had hardly any fur due to a severe mange infection. Santini has since fully recovered and is a friendly, energetic, playful and sociable dog, who has a sunny disposition and a happy-go-lucky nature that endears him to all he meets. He would be an entertaining friend, but unfortunately is not fond of kids.

Georgina female; DOB: ± 1999;

Georgina is a large, cream sable Shepherd, Labrador crossbreed. She was found lying on the side of a road in Gordon’s Bay, knocked over by a car. Georgina is an attentive, affectionate and responsive girl, who is mellow natured and has an endearing nature. She is a pleasant mix of dignified spirit and doting soul mate, and would love to retire in a caring, loving home. Georgina would be a loyal companion; if only given the chance!

Monica is a large, tan sable Boerbul, Shepherd crossbreed. She was rescued after being abandoned in Retreat, and having been severely mistreated, she is sharp with and wary of strangers. Yet, Monica bonds closely and is an affectionate, responsive and biddable dog, who is sensitive and needs reassurance and understanding. She enjoys being the centre of attention and requires a quieter home without cats, kids or smaller dogs. Monica needs an experienced owner and a fair amount of exercise, but she is worth the effort and would be an unbelievably devoted companion and protective guardian in the right home.

Bailey female; DOB: ± 2001

Bailey is a medium-sized, white and black crossbreed. She was rescued after being abandoned by a vagrant in Kalk Bay. Bailey is an alert and self-confident, yet docile and undemanding girl, who doesn’t lack spunk and character! She is a pleasant mix of independent spirit and mellow soul mate and would be a super friend and dependable companion.

Corrie female; DOB: ± 2001

Corrie is a medium-sized, tan sable crossbreed. She was rescued from terrible living conditions in Fisantekraal Informal Settlement with her day old puppies. Corrie is a sweet-natured, passive, affectionate, undemanding, and even-tempered girl, with a cheerful disposition. She has never been in a home before, and would be an excellent addition to a loving family.

Farrel male; DOB: ± 1998

Farrel is a medium-sized, tan and chocolate Shepherd crossbreed. He was rescued after being found abandoned in Steenberg. Farrel is a cheerful, friendly, confident, social dog, who enjoys human interaction and is eager to please. He would be a watchful companion and lovable pet.

Gertie female; DOB: ± 1997

Gertie is a medium-sized, brown sable and cream crossbreed. She was a stray rescued in Tokai. Gertie is an affectionate, biddable, responsive and playful old girl, who is keen to please and longs to be “man’s best friend”! She craves human interaction and companionship, and would be a watchful companion and devoted friend if given the chance.

Dixon male; DOB: ± 2004

Dixon is a medium-sized, tan sable crossbreed. He was rescued after being abandoned in a township. Dixon is a playful, comical, confident, brave and fun-loving dog, who is full of character and bumbling enthusiasm. He is not fond of children, but would be an ideal companion for a person with a good sense of humour, who wants a lot of entertainment (and mischief) in one dog!

Tara female; DOB: ± 2000

Tara is a large, black Shepherd cross. She was originally rescued as a puppy and homed, but returned when her elderly owner had to move into a retirement home. Tara is an intelligent, affectionate, but not dependant, dog, who sorely misses the comforts of home. She is a regal blend of dignified soul mate and super friend; is housetrained and used to cats . Tara longs for a home to call her own and would be a perfect companion for an older person.
