FOSTER A FELINE OR CANINE FRIEND

It has been medically proven that an older person’s quality of life improves remarkably when they acquire a pet. However, many older people don’t want to take on the responsibility of owning a pet. What about fostering an older cat or dog?   TEARS has many beautiful older cats and dogs who cant find homes, because they are no longer cute little kittens/puppies..
All of our animals available for adoption have been rescued from abuse, neglect, starvation or abandonment. People wishing to adopt a pet are interviewed and homechecks are made to ensure that the adopted family are complying with our Adoption Policy and that the adopted pet is being taken care of.

TEARS has many beautiful, homeless dogs and cats, who are all waiting patiently for someone to love. By adopting one of our shelter pets, you secure a place for another.

We stock a full range of pet accessories including collars, leads, bowls, litter, litter, trays, beds, cushions, baskets, AND Hill's Science Plan                 .

Please buy your accessories and food from us as you will be contributing to our income.
Credit cards welcome!

Some of them have been at TEARS for a long time and deserve a loving home to live out the rest of their lives. And it is actually often easier to take an adult cat or dog than kitten or puppy into your home.    Why not foster one of our older cats or dogs and see how your life improves.    For more information please call our shelter on 021 7854482.

Information about: AIDS cats

* People can't catch AIDS from cats
* Cats can live many healthy, happy years with feline AIDS
* Good nutrition can keep the disease at bay for many years
* AIDS cats should be prevented at all times from leaving your property as they may transmit the disease to other healthy cats through fighting
* Feline AIDS is mostly transmitted by cat fights and by mating with infected cats
* Transmission rates are low in a stable household of cats where there is no fighting or breeding
* By neutering your male cats you can help prevent them from becoming infected with AIDS
* By keeping your healthy cats inside at night you can minimise contact with neighbourhood cats and reduce the chance of your cats getting AIDS.
